An established food pantry has relocated to new quarters that is able to offer more food to the roughly 300 people that utilize this service.

The Greater Fall River Community Food Pantry has moved to 235 Nashua Street, which is a larger facility that can more easily accommodate the dietary needs of people finding it difficult to meet the cost of rent, utility bills, health care, etc.

The Fall River Herald News quotes Director David Perry as saying, “People love it.”

The pantry opened a couple of weeks ago and a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20th. The food pantry had been located at the First Baptist Church on North Main Street for the past thirty three years.
