The old Fall River Department of Community Maintenance Director John Perry is out, and a new interim director is in.
Mayor Jasiel Correia II has appointed Jeffrey Little, a trained civil engineer, as interim director of that department. This is Correia’s 5th appointment since taking office in January of 2016.
According to a phone interview with City Administrator Cathy Ann Viveiros, FRC Media news learned that Little formerly worked as the city’s Director of Water Maintenance. His duties included supervising water distribution and street work. Per state law, Little will remain in the interim position for sixty days after which his job performance will be evaluated and he will either be permanently named to that post, or another sixty day extension will be put into place. Meanwhile, Perry has been returned to his former position within city government serving as Director of Solid Waste.
