It’s official. The Massachusetts School Building Authority’s Board of Directors have voted, and approved funding of about $165 million for the construction of a new BMC Durfee High School in Fall River. Residents will have the opportunity to vote on approval of funding the city’s portion of the project which is about $98,5 million during a special election March 6th, 2018. The ballot question will ask residents to agree to override proposition two and a half in order to help pay for the project. Meanwhile, School Committee Member Tom Khoury is asking residents to vote Yes:
