Ventriloquist Kevin Driscoll and his buddies, Jerry and Jessica. along with Doug the Talking Dog ‘dummy puppets’ entertained children and adults today at the Fall River Public Library. According to Supervisor of Children’s Services Dave Mello this is the first time Driscoll has performed at the library.

“Mr. Driscoll brought a slew of percussion instruments from around the world to play for the audience, and allowed the children to try out the instruments, including steel drums, maracas, bongos, and more,” Mello told FRC Media News. “We encouraged all residents to attend the free program, and remind parents and guardians that we have numerous programs available for youngsters to participate in for the rest of their summer vacation, including our reading for fun program.”

Some of the programs are sponsored by Rockland Trust Bank, which had representatives on hand for the kickoff of summer activities earlier this month. The library is located on North Main Street in Fall River. For more information on any program call Mello at (508) 324-2700.
