Mother Teresa is officially now a Saint.
Pope Francis lauded the Nobel Peace Prize winner as “a generous dispenser of divine mercy” in his homily during the cannizonation ceremony Sunday, September 5th at St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
Mother Teresa died 19 years ago, but not before visiting the Greater Fall River area. Almost twenty years ago, she took a trip to New Bedford where she touched the souls of primarily Catholic people in this region.
