A memorial quilt called “Never Forgotten” is being displayed in the lobby of Government Center to honor the lives of overdose victims in the Greater Fall River Area. The purple quilt is dotted with photographs of people who lost their lives due to drug overdoses along with the date of their deaths. Vice President of the Niagara Neighborhood Association Helen Rego, in collaboration with her daughter Shirley Black, came up with the quilt idea in order to educate the general public on the dangers of opioid abuse.
