Natalia Linos is one of nine (9) candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in the race to succeed Joseph Kennedy for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional House seat. She will be on the ballot in the northern part of Fall River at the September 1st State Primary.
Watch our interview with Natalia.
Natalia Linos was the last candidate to join the Democratic Primary, deciding to throw her hat into the race shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic overtook the country.
Ms. Linos is a social epidemiologist, having worked at the United Nations advising governments across the world, emploring a change in priorities from alleviating poverty to ending gender-based violence and safeguarding global health. It’s that experience, amid COVID-19, that she feels qualifies her to address the needs of many within the district’s disadvantaged communities, including Fall River.
Among the priorities for Ms. Linos is implementing a $15 federal minimum wage, investing in affordable housing and supporting the Green New Deal with the economic opportunities that come along with it.
She says that the cost of running a Congressional campaign appears to favor candidates residing in the western suburbs of Boston, to the potential detriment to cities in the district like Fall River.
