Ihssane Leckey is one of nine (9) candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in the race to succeed Joseph Kennedy for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional House seat. She will be on the ballot in the northern part of Fall River at the September 1st State Primary.

Ms. Leckey was born in Morocco and after emigrating to the United States became the first in her family to graduate from college.
She served as a Federal Reserve special examiner and saw how big banks showed little regard for individuals during the financial crisis of 2008. That disregard drove her to a life fighting for the voices of the disadvantaged, those she will devote her time if elected to serve in Washington.
Among the issues Ms. Leckey supports are single-payer healthcare and expanded educational opportunities for those in minority communities. She says even though all the Democratic candidates in the race, including herself, reside in the wealthy suburbs west of Boston, it’s the people in cities like Fall River who deserve to be heard and supported in Congress.
