Alan Khazei is one of nine (9) candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in the race to succeed Joseph Kennedy for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional House seat. He will be on the ballot in the northern part of Fall River at the September 1st State Primary.
Watch our interview with Alan.
Alan Khazei was raised in western Pennsylvania in a blue-collar community similar to Fall River. His Italian-American mother was a nurse and his Iranian-American father a doctor. Mr. Khazei attended Harvard Law School and along with his college roommate established City Year, a Boston-based youth service organization that has been in existence since 1988. A big part of Mr. Khazei’s platform for Congress is to push for a model of service that can develop into a 21st century new, New Deal.
Mr. Khazei supports a public option in healthcare, tackling climate change in passing the Green New Deal, and making college education affordable for every American. He believes a lasting change in the country can only be accomplished by reaching across the aisle and seeking Republican support on legislation.
