The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has released the schedule of South Coast Rail trains that will service Fall River and New Bedford to Boston beginning March 24.
The weekday (Monday through Friday) schedule has trains leaving Fall River early in the morning and heading to Boston. The last train leaving Boston and returning to the city arrives after 1:30 a.m.
Fall River will have five (5) direct trains to Boston’s South Station with another ten (10) leaving the city and requiring a free transfer at the East Taunton station. Here are the departure times with arrival in Boston:

Weekday fares one-way will be $12.25 with a discount rate of $6.00. For the first month of service, through the end of April, weekend fares will be free then rise to $10 for unlimited rides. Parking will be free for all riders at the Fall River depot for the first month while spaces exist. After that, parking will be $4.oo per day on weekdays and $2 per day on weekends.
