Although Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia came in second place in the preliminary election this week, he told supporters after the polls closed that he still plans to take the lead in the final election when he goes up against opponent Paul Coogan. Correia garnered only 2,777 votes in Tuesday’s election to take a distant back seat to Coogan, who pulled in 8,273 votes. Despite the wide gap, Correia still plans to win the top post in the November 5th final election:
