Fall River Mayor-Elect Jasiel Correia II has announced details of the upcoming inauguration. City elected officials will be sworn in on Monday, January 4 in a ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Robert J. Nagel Auditorium at B. M. C. Durfee High School, Elsbree Street in Fall River.
The Inaugural Gala will be held that evening at the Venus de Milo Restaurant, 75 G.A.R Highway in Swansea, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Gala is free and open to the public. Tickets are required and can be obtained by calling Gen Andrade at 508-496 5119.
“The inauguration is a time to reflect on where we stand as a city today, but also to look ahead to the opportunities we have,” said Mayor-Elect Correia. “I am looking forward to joining with the City Council and School Committee to take the oath of office and, more importantly, to get to the work of leading Fall River into the future as its new mayor.”
