Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia, along with former City Councilor Pat Casey, invite the public to the Polar Plunge at Sandy Beach on Atlantic Boulevard in Fall River to be held on New Year’s Day – January 1st. This annual event is held for the benefit of Forever Paws Animal Shelter located at 300 Lynwood Avenue. Participants are asked to gather sponsorship pledges, and will be required to sign a waiver. Kickoff is at 10:00 a.m.
Mayor Correia will preside, and will provide the countdown to start the plunge. Donor forms and waivers are available at this point by calling Pat Casey at (508) 320-9569, or Gail Furtado at (508) 678-0804, but they will also be available at the event. Everyone, whether participants or spectators, are welcome to attend.
