A man missing in a boat mishap on the South Wattupa Pond over the weekend has been identified as 35 year old Emerson Belirio.
The Fall River man was reported missing Saturday, July 16th after he either fell off a King Cabin Cruiser into the water or went for a swim off the boat. He was reportedly wearing a life jacket that had resurfaced, although he did not.
Belirio went missing around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, after which a three day manhunt ensued. The victim’s mother was visiting from Brazil at the time of the incident.
Foul play is not suspected at this time. FRC Media News will have more details as they become available.
