December 12th is the last day for parents to register to receive toys from Law Enforcement Assisting Families (l.E.A.F.), in cooperation with Blessed Trinity Parish.

Fall River Police Department Sgt. Brett Kimball says last year the annual toy drive provided toys to over 600 children across the city.

Less than a week before Christmas, Blessed Trinity Church will host a community gift-wrapping event followed by the delivery of the toys.

Sgt. Kimball says L.E.A.F. has been holding a toy drive for over 20 years, and experiencing the satisfaction of helping children enjoy Christmas never gets old.

Police will be collecting toy donations Saturday from 10 am until 3 pm at Brulington on Mariano Bishop Boulevard. Angels Anonymous in Fall River is also holding a toy drive for needy children.
