A pair of local college students have taken up the charge of working with the city in spreading the word on the need for every resident to take part in the 2020 US Census.
The City of Fall River received a $50,000 grant from the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s office for the purpose of promoting participation in the Census. Students Catarina Pereira and Cheyenna Forsee are hitting the streets of the city seeking out those who have yet to be counted.
Along with information the duo will also be equipped with iPads to register people on the spot. The deadline to take part in the decennial Census has been extended to October.
