The Fall River Public Library is hosting an event where children can stroll through its “haunted library.”
From the Fall River Public Library
The season of ghosts, goblins and strange happenings is upon us once more as the Fall River Public Library offers up its delightfully spooky event, Through the Haunted Library! on Thursday, October 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the library’s children’s room. Families will be invited to take a flashlight walk through the children’s room and experience it like never before with shivery surprises around every corner!
On October 16 at 4:00 p.m., the Children’s Room will close to the public and will reopen at 6:00 p.m., completely transformed. Upon entering the room, each child will receive their own mini flashlight to guide them through the dimly lit corridors of the haunted children’s room where a host of other-worldly characters await, including spooky scarecrows, giant spiders and creatures from outer space. Visiting the pirate’s den, children will be welcomed to a handful of gold coins and jewels from the pirate’s chest if they dare!
Upon completion of their haunted trip, children will be invited into the library’s meeting room to make a Halloween craft, receive a spooky temporary tattoo, and participate in some Halloween-themed games. Families can also register to win a Halloween basket filled with books and other creepy goodies!
The haunted walkthrough is recommended for children ages 5 and up. Children who wish to bypass the walkthrough and just partake in the crafts and other activities are welcome to do so.
