Curbside Crafts for Kids AND Adults at Fall River Public Library!
Fall River Public Library is offering curbside crafts for kids and a special junk journal craft for adults. All craft kits are free and come with all materials needed to make the project, plus instructions. In addition, we’ve created YouTube craft videos to go along with them, so you can follow along with a step-by-step demonstration of how to put the crafts together.
For kids, there is still time to pick up this week’s craft, a Tropical Fish Mobile! It will be available through Friday, August 21. To schedule a curbside pickup, call the Children’s Room at 508-324-2700, ext. 4. To view the video, visit the library’s Facebook Page or Fall River Community Media on YouTube.
Also available this week at the South Branch Library is a Jeweled Crown Craft. Instructions are included for this easy-to-make craft, and you can reserve your copy by calling the South Branch at 508-324-2708.
Next week, starting Monday, August 24, we will be offering a 3D Floating Frog Craft for kids. This simple craft contains all materials and instructions. Reserve yours starting Friday afternoon,
August 21, by calling the Children’s Room: 508-324-2700, ext. 4.
But wait—kids don’t get to have all the fun! Starting Monday, August 24, adults can pick up a Junk Journal Mini-Book Craft. These craft kits contain everything you need to make a pocket-sized journal: stock paper to make the cover and inside pages, colorful scrapbook paper to cover them with, and glue for pasting and binding. Once your journal is completed, you can add your own photos, news clippings, memorabilia, artwork, or whatever you like. A step-by-step video from the Greater Fall River Art Association, available on the library’s Facebook page and on Fall River Community Media’s YouTube channel shows you how to make the journal.
Call 508-324-2700, ext. 2, any time after noon on Friday, August 21, to set up a time to pick up your kit. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
