April Vacation Week at the Library
Tuesday, April 22nd- Under the Sea Storytime, 11am-11:45am
We welcome our listeners to DIVE into these exciting stories, all celebrating the wonders of the sea and featuring, I Am the Biggest Thing In the Ocean! by Kevin Sherry. There will also be a hunt for hidden sea creatures swimming about the library following storytime! For ages 3 and up.
Wednesday, April 23rd- A Mermaid’s Tale, 11am-12pm
We invite you on a magical adventure with ‘A Mermaid’s Tale’! Join us for an enchanting experience for children of all ages. Enjoy interactive story time, followed by a special meet-and-greet with a real-life mermaid and pirate. This is a unique opportunity to spark imaginations and encourage a love of reading. Come and dive into a world of fantasy and fun!
Family LEGO Night, 6pm-7pm
If you love creating and building with these marvelous plastic bricks, you won’t want to miss Family LEGO Night! This LEGO Night’s challenge will be to build a tower! We have thousands of bricks to build with so let your imagination run wild! We recommend this program for ages 5 and up.
Thursday, April 24th- Storybook Bingo, 11am-12pm

Mo Willems Film Festival, 1pm-2pm
Join us for this fun-filled, animated presentation of some of Mo Willems best-loved stories including The Pigeon Will Ride the Roller Coaster, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, Leonardo the terrible Monster and others! Recommended for ages 4 and up.
Yarn Crafting for a Cause, 1pm-2pm
Do you like to knit or crochet? Come join a group of fellow crafters in a good cause. We will knit hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to homeless shelters or other charities. All yarn will be
supplied. You can bring your own needles and patterns (we will have some extras around if you forget).
Friday, April 25th- Mobile Adventures: The World of Whales, 11am-1pm
Stop by for a whale of a time! Dive into the world of whales and explore their massive bones, learn about their unique behaviour and discover how these giants of the ocean communicate and migrate. There will be fun and games and hands-on activities that bring these incredible creatures to life! For all ages. Sponsored by the Trustees of Reservations.
Saturday, April 26th- Bookmobile at Arbor Day Fair, 11am-2pm
Join the Bookmobile at Abbott Court/Park for this year’s Arbor Day Fair! Families are invited to sign up for a library card and explore our collection of nature themed fiction and nonfiction titles.
Chess Club, 12:30pm-2:30pm
Play a game of chess at the library! Chess players at all levels are invited to stop by on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own chess board and pieces, or we have some available at the desk.
