Do you have any library materials you may have forgotten to return? The Fall River Public Library is giving you a week to return them without paying any overdue fines.
From the Fall River Public Library
Check under the bed, behind the couch, and in the back of the car—do you have some long-overdue library books? If so, then now is the time to return them! The Fall River Public Library will waive all overdue fines for library materials returned between Monday, August 5 and Friday, August 9.
Fine free returns apply to books, movies, audio, games, and even wifi hotspots. If you return an item in good condition, we will waive the overdue fine, no matter how long it has been overdue.
Exceptions: we will not waive fines on items checked out at other libraries, only to those checked out from Fall River. We will not waive fines for lost or stolen items (unless they are returned), for items returned in a damaged condition (other than normal wear and tear), for non-borrowing charges (such as fax or printing fees), or for old fines for items previously returned.
So round up those stray library books and bring them back to the library. And while you’re there, check out some of the great programs and services we offer, from e-books to passport and notary service to museum passes to free events for adults, teens, and children.
