Liberty Utilities plans to conduct roadwork across portions of the city this Saturday.

Fall River, MA, October 25, 2023 – Liberty will be conducting roadwork Saturday, October 28th. While we strive to avoid weekend work, this approved Saturday work is necessitated by recent weather-related delays and the need to complete the work before the upcoming winter heating season. The work will result in several streets being temporarily closed from 7am – 4pm. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this time. Detour signs will be in place, and police detail officers will assist in keeping traffic and pedestrians moving safely. The following work locations include:

  • Bedford Street between 6th & 7th Streets
  • Eighth Street between Bedford and Pleasant Streets
  • Fountain St between Columbia and Ferry Streets (by Doran School)
  • Globe St between Bay and Chace Streets

“We want to thank city residents, businesses and commuters for their understanding and patience as we work to replace aging infrastructure,” said James Carey, Senior Manager of Government Affairs. “These construction projects will strengthen our system so we can continue to provide safe, reliable and efficient service for our customers.”
