A Boston-based support and advocacy organization that specializes in serving LGBTQ victims of violence or abuse has opened an office in Fall River.

Fenway Health’s Violence Recovery Program (VRP) provides free and confidential services including counseling to LGBTQ people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, hate violence, and police misconduct. It has been working with LGBTQ communities for 30 years and has offices in Western Massachusetts and Cape Cod as well as Boston.

“Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people deserve to live happy and healthy lives free from violence and abuse,” the organization says.
