FRCMedia is publishing a series of stories on the candidates running in the September 6th state primary.  Today’s entry features Senator Eric Lesser, Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor. He is facing Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll and State Representative Tami Gouveia in the state primary.

You can view our complete interview with Eric Lesser on our Election 2022 Democratic Primary Election page.

State senator Eric Lesser feels he is best suited to be the next Lt. Governor because he brings a perspective of someone who represents residents outside of Boston and the suburbs within I-495

Senator Lesser says his experience in representing two gateway cities in western Massachusetts will make him a perfect fit when it comes to advocating for policy changes that will impact Fall River.

In the Lt. Governor’s role leading the governor’s council, Senator Lesser believes the state’s judiciary should reflect the makeup of the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Senator Lesser is being challenged in the Democratic primary by Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll and State Representative Tami Gouveia. He says he is the only candidate that brings a wide breadth of experience to the race.

Senator Lesser feels he can be a key contributor to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Attorney General Maura Healy, having collaborated with her on a number of initiatives while a member of the state senate.
