It appears the upcoming snow storm that is expected to hit our area tomorrow, January 23rd into Sunday, January 24th will only mean a three to six inch snow accumulation. Despite the downgrade, Director of Community Maintenance Director Kenneth Pacheco said he’s still prepared to clear city streets.
“We will be utilizing about 100 plow trucks and sanders that includes both city equipment and contracted plow drivers on the road,” Pacheco says. “That’s about half our resources.”
One thousand pounds of salt has also been delivered in preparation of the impending storm. The snow removal budget for this fiscal year is approximately $575 thousand dollars.
