Our Quequechan Rail Trail is Threatened – Learn the Facts
Fall River, Massachusetts: The Alliance to Save the Trail is holding an Informational Meeting, June 20, 2018, 6:00 P.M. at the Liberal Club, 20 Star Street, Fall River.
This meeting will show the public the vast amount of information that the Alliance has uncovered. The information will demonstrate that the City Administration has ignored State and City laws.
We have conclusive proof that Article 97 of the Massachusetts Constitution protects the Alfred J. Lima Quequechan Rail Trail (AJLQRRT), that the AJLQRRT comes under the Fall River Park Board and that there is an attempt by the City of Fall River to “intentionally” as stated by a State official, allow a private road to destroy a portion of the new AJLQRRT.
Speakers will lay out the evidence that shows a few in City government not only attempted to circumvent the law, Article 97, but over the course of several years never informed the City Council, the project stakeholders, or the general public about this planned destruction because of the collusion that was conducted behind closed doors.
Learn the truth of what has taken place and the steps we must take to right this wrong.
After the presentations there will be a question and answer period.
Members of the Alliance: Green Futures, Park Advocates, Bike Fall River, Friends of the Quequechan, Flint Neighborhood Association and the Niagara Neighborhood Association
