The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development recently released its latest unemployment figures. The statistics show that Fall River had a 6% unemployment rate in August, down one percentage point from July. According to the Director of the Fall River Career Center Joe Viana, more people are being employed now than ever before in the city, partly because of the massive hiring of Amazon workers over the last year:
