Curbside Crafts, Raffle, and More at Fall River Public Library
This week, Fall River Public Library is offering a 3-D Safari Animal Curbside Craft for kids. Children can choose from a lion, elephant, or giraffe. These free-standing animal figures are easy to make at home. To schedule a time to pick up a craft kit, just call the Main Library Children’s Room at 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or the South Branch Library at 508-324-2708.
Our Curbside Crafts series will continue throughout the fall, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Debby and Richard Danner. Each week, we will offer a different craft children can make at home. Limited numbers of past weeks’ crafts may still be available. Just ask!
You can also make an appointment to visit the Children’s Room at the Main Library and register for our Triple B Raffle! This special prize includes a stuffed bear, a sturdy wooden bench, and an assortment of books! Kids can register to win every time they visit the library. The winner will be announced on October 1st.
While children are visiting the library, they can also keep an eye out for Harold, the Library Elf! Harold will be hiding in a different place in the Children’s Room every day. If you spot him, win an instant prize!
A limited number of junk journal craft kits for teens and adults are still available. These kits are free and come with all materials needed to make a mini-book journal you can use as a scrapbook, journal, photo album, art book, or whatever you like. To create your journal, just follow along with our step-by-step how-to video on YouTube. To reserve your journal kit, call the Main Library at 508-324-2700, ext. 2. If you would prefer to pick up your kit at the South Branch, let us know and we can send it there for you.
