Fall River city councilor Pam Laliberte has struck a deal with the prosecution on charges she harassed the wife of a former lover in Westport and intimidated witnesses in the police investigation.
Ms. Laliberte admitted to the two misdemeanor harassment charges, receiving probation until December 29th. If she does not have contact with the victim until that time the charges will be dropped.
One of the two felony charges of witness intimidation was dropped with the other slated to be dropped at the end of the year, again provided she does not have contact with the victim. The agreement does not stipulate that Laliberte pled guilty to any of the charges.
Defense attorney Frank Camera says the agreement is fair.
