Three Southeastern Massachusetts Revolutionary War-era reenactment groups will visit Lafayette Durfee House on Sunday, June 30, to demonstrate the arts of hand sewing and rolling cartridges for muskets.
Members of Rehoboth’s Thirteenth Continental Regiment, Fairhaven Village Militia, and Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies will be at the historic house from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. An eighteenth century sewing circle with making and mending of clothing and leather goods will be reenacted, and children will be able to roll and take home candy cartridges.
Lafayette Durfee House is located at 94 Cherry Street in Fall River. Admission is free. For more information, call 774-322-1598. For information about the reenactment groups, click here:
