Dozens of people turned out Sunday to participate in a peaceful protest in a bid to keep St. Anne’s Parish in Fall River open. Officials at the Diocese of Greater Fall River have decided to close the church due to expensive yet necessary repairs to the aging structure, and citing a decline in the number of parishioners. A planning committee had been formed to see if money could be raised to save St. Anne’s from closing and here’s an explanation of the end result:
