The Office of Economic Development along with the Small Business Administration is co-sponsoring a series of free workshops for area residents wanting to start their own businesses.
The idea behind the topics, according to co-seminar leader and Microloan Technical Assistant Specialist Mike Motta, is to give entrepreneurs the knowledge to run successful businesses in Fall River.
“Sales is not just about traditional products or services. Every day, you need to “sell” your ideas, motivate employees, and convince others to cooperate with you. Sales isn’t talking, it’s listening, identifying opportunities, then presenting and delivering solutions,” Motta says.
Join Mike Motta as he explores effective methods of communication, presentation skills, controlling the conversation, how to welcome, address, and resolve objections, and offer various ways to close the sale. No matter what business you’re in, “Nothing happens until somebody sells something!”
