Over 12,000 city residents voted in yesterday’s State Primary.  Here are the unofficial vote counts in the Democratic and Republican contests.

There were not many contested races on either ballot.  In the case of the Democrats, city voters overwhelmingly supported Joseph Kennedy III for U.S. Senate.  Statewide Kennedy lost to incumbent Ed Markey.

On the Republican side, city voters made David Rosa their preference for the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District seat.  The nomination was won by candidate Julie Hall.
