Looking for some holiday cheer? If so, look no further than the Fall River Public Library, 104 North Main Street, on Wednesday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. when community ukulele ensemble The Unlikely Strummers will lead a holiday family sing-along!
The Unlikely Strummers will treat the audience to a host of well-known holidaytunes guaranteed to get everyone into the spirit of the season! Young and old arewelcome to sing along, clap their hands or just tap their toes to the melodic strains of the Strummers.
This group of Massachusetts and Rhode Island-based ukuleleplayers, who took their name from their original meeting place, author JeffKinney’s An Unlikely Story bookstore in Plainville, are well known for theirperformances throughout the region.
The evening will include a reading of the 1823 Christmas classic “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” by Clement C. Moore and a visit from Olaf the Snowman from the popular Disney movie Frozen. Refreshments and a raffle for some great door prizes will follow the performance. Registration is not required, and all ages are welcome.
