According to the Fall River Hearld News, A Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad is on its way to the city to investigate what appears to be a grenade found at a multi-family house near Pearce and Rock Streets around 3:30 p.m. today, March 1st.

The report states that Fall River District Fire Chief Doug Sullivan says, the matter could be nothing at all. The grenade appears to be a World War II style type of weapon, but could very well be a toy. A resident uncovered the item while raking grass and reported it to police.

The bomb squad is expected to X-Ray the Grenade to determine whether or not it is a live ordinance. If not, the bomb squad will most like just take it away.
