In honor of the late Reverend Robert Lawrence, the “Guns for Groceries” program he founded continues. Anyone who wants to unload a weapon, can do so – no questions asked – this Saturday, November 23rd at Holy Trinity Church at 1340 Plymouth Avenue in Fall River between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. In exchange, participants will receive gift certificates for groceries in the amount of $50.00 – $75.00 dollars.
The program is supported by Southcoast Health, Market Basket, the Domino’s team in Fall River, and New Bedford Attorney Scott Lang. Again, anyone who brings a gun to Holy Trinity will not be questioned about where or how they obtained it by police or any other law enforcement agency.
