The 68th United Way of Greater Fall River campaign got underway today with this year’s Chairwoman and School Committee Member Melissa Panchley holding up the organization’s official flag in front of Government Center the morning of September 15th.
United Way organizers hope to raise some $1.3 million dollars in donations to be used to support approximately 30 member health and human services agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters in and around Fall River.
Donations can be made directly through the United Way Website or arrangements can be made via phone at (508) 678-8361.
