The 12th Annual Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge, a 12-week workout and weight loss program for ages 16 and up. kicks off at Kuss Middle School on Wednesday, January 15, with a  Zumba workout, hosted by Tabi’s Transformations.

“Over its 11-year history, participants in the Fitness Challenge have shed more than a ton of weight. The program is the oldest continually running community weight loss program in the country. About 500 people sign up each year either as individuals or as part of a team,” according to the Herald News.

Challenges will take place on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. at Kuss and other locations.  Bonus challenges will also be held at the Swansea YMCA

A one-time fee of $10 covers all the sessions, and participants can join the program at any time.  Sign-up will be available in the Kuss cafeteria tomorrow between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.  It is also available at Greater Fall River RE-CREATION at 45 Rock Street during regular business hours.
