According to an article in the Fall River Herald News, the city is expected to receive a total of a little more than $one million dollars in grant money.

The article states that the  money can be used to restore, retain, or hire police and fire personnel or for overtime to retain appropriate staffing levels.

The funds are an increase of about $220 thousand dollars over the Fiscal Year 2015 budget. It is not yet known how the city will utilize the grant monies.
