Citizens for Citizens, Fall River’s Anti-poverty agency, has sent out eighteen thousand applications for fuel assistance over the summer. That from Energy Assistance Director Garth Patterson.
He tells FRC Media news that the number of applications mailed to Fall River and Taunton residences this year were based on the number of applicants who applied and received fuel assistance last year.
“CFC requires certain guidelines people must meet in order to be eligible to receive fuel assistance, which is available from October through March of each year,” Patterson says. “New applicants are more than welcome to visit our office or website for more information. The office is located at 264 Griffith Street or can call (508) 679-0041.
