Fall River Community Media (FRCMedia) is organizing a series of candidate forums and debates as voters prepare to vote in the November 7 Municipal Election.
On Tuesday, October 10 at 6:30 pm FRCMedia hosts the candidates running for school committee in a 90-minute forum.
Two days later, on Thursday, October 12, also at 6:30 pm, Mayor Paul Coogan and challenger, former mayor Sam Sutter, will square off in a one-hour mayoral debate.
Finally, on Tuesday, October 17, the candidates for city council will take part in a 90-minute forum. Two panels of nine candidates each will assemble beginning at 6:00 pm and at 8:00 pm.
FRCMedia’s Keith Thibault will serve as moderator with journalists from FRGTV, WSAR and Fall River Reporter will be asking questions of the candidates.
All forums and debates will air LIVE on FRCMedia Channel 95. The school committee forum will be simulcast on FRED TV, Channel 9 while the city council forum and mayoral debate will air on FRGTV, channel 18. WSAR will also air the mayoral debate. The forums and debates will also be streamed on Facebook.
FRCMedia will also be providing candidates access to our resources to record statements to voters and take part in short interviews.
