Former Fall River City Councilor Leo Pelletier has pulled nomination papers to run for a city council seat. He joins a second former City Councilor Brad Kilby for a seat since Kilby also recently pulled papers.
In a social media post yesterday, Pelletier wrote: “Yes, you have heard correctly. I did pull papers to run for a seat iin a city that I have served for years and love.”
Pelletier joins former City Councilor Brad Kilby in the 2017 Fall River election that will take place this fall. In total, there are 18 candidates for council seats, twelve (12) for school committee, and (8) for mayor.
The preliminary election is Tuesday, September 12th with the final election slated for November 7th. Residents will also vote on whether they want changes to the Home Rule Charter.
