Students at the Fonseca Elementary School are in mourning today following the announcement of the passing of one of its students. Here is the announcement from the Fall River Public Schools:
It is with deep regret that we inform you that one of our Fonseca students tragically passed last evening.
At this time, details have not been fully released. We are deeply saddened by this loss.
Fall River Public Schools will be offering support staff to help students, families, and school personnel
during this very difficult time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Fonseca Elementary School directly
with any assistance you may need. Grief counseling will be available this afternoon, Friday, January 11,
2019, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and tomorrow, Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the
Fonseca Elementary School, 160 Wall Street, Fall River, MA.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and support and ask you to keep the child’s family,
friends, and Fonseca community in your thoughts as we all continue to deal with this very difficult
situation.
