If you haven’t visited Fall River’s new Flint Farmers Market yet, mark your calendar for the three remaining times this season when you can sample its freshly picked local produce.
Launched last month by Groundwork Southcoast, the summertime market is the only farmers market in the city that accepts SNAP food benefits. It will be open in August from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the following days:
- Tuesday, August 14
- Tuesday, August 21
- Tuesday, August 28
Flint Farmers Market is held in the parking lot of Our Lady of Light Band at 664 Quarry Street (at the corner of Quequechan and Quarry Streets). For more information, call (508) 974-3535.
