According to an article in today’s Fall River Herald News, five marketing companies from as far as Texas and New York to Boston and Rhode Island have submitted bids for a contract to market the city.
The Correia administration put out the request for Proposals July 5th. The deadline to apply was Wednesday, July 20th. Mayor Correia set the bid price at $50 thousand dollars to directly market the city with the possibility of awarding additional monies if necessary. The mayor has a goal to hire a firm by August 1st, and to have a solid marketing plan completed in about six months.
