A Festival of Trees event, sponsored in part by AHA!Fall River, is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, December 15th. The all day event starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.. Location: The downtown Fall River area, including Government Center.
Here’s the line up:
Residents and visitors will be given a tour to judge Christmas Trees that were purchased and decorated by individuals, local officials, and non-profit agencies with the proceeds helping to finance the Holiday Fund set up each year by the Fall River Herald News. The money is used to help needy families during the holiday season.
FRC Media, The Girls Scouts, and State Representative Alan Silvia are among those who purchased a tree.
Between 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. an 18 piece sophisticated swing band will play music at The Eagle at 35 North Main Street.
Light refreshments will be served.
