On Thursday, July 21st, Mass in Motion– in Fall River invites you to a reception for local artists Alfred J. Lima, and Tony Henriques whose artwork is installed in the Staircase Galleries at Government Center. This event is held in conjunction with AHA Night and will be held in the lobby of Government Center.
The exhibit, entitled Love Where You Live is appropriately named. Both artists are lifelong residents of Fall River. Tony paints charming and colorful scenes of the City and surrounding communities, reaching out as far as Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium. His work depicts Cityscapes to shoreline to farms and fields.
Alfred J. Lima is known for the drawings and designs that illustrate improvements or visions for the City’s parks and open spaces. Some of the work in the exhibit was created to illustrate the Open Space and Recreation Plan implemented from 2010-2016, including his rendering of the Quequechan River Rail Trail. Six prints of Al’s oil paintings are also on display.
This exhibit will remain in the Government Center Staircase Galleries through December. For more information, contact Julianne Kelly, Coordinator, Mass in Motion-Fall River, at jkelly@fallriverma.org or 508-324-2405.
