A Fall River woman, accused of murder, is expected back in court August 8th for a probable cause hearing. 32 year-old Jacqueline Mendes reportedly stabbed Brockton resident, 41 year old Jennifer Landry, during the incident that occurred on a residential street in Brockton last Friday.

Police believe the two women became involved in a physical altercation after they stopped their vehicles, and got into a verbal argument in relation to how one of the women was driving. Police say, Mendes stabbed Landry, the mother of a 13 year-son-son, during the altercation that ensued.

Landry was rushed to Boston Medical Center, and treated for serious knife-inflicted injuries, but died the next day. Following Landry’s death, The original assault & battery charges against Mendes were then upgraded to murder charges to which she pleaded “Not Guilty” during her arraignment in Brockton District court.
