It looks like School superintendent Meg Mayo Brown is job seeking.

According to an article in today’s Fall River Herald News, Mayo-Brown is one of three finalists for the same position in the Barnstable Public School system.

The competition is Assistant Superintendent Sara Ahern, and Wilmington Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Kathleen Burnham.

The three finalists were picked from 19 professionals, who were then narrowed down to a field of eight semi-finalists and then from that to the final three.

Barnstable has 5,300 students, and 600 staff members in eight schools, and has an annual budget of $63 million.

For background information on the events that led up to a search committee being formed in Barnstable to find an acceptable replacement for outgoing school superintendent Mary Czajkowski who accepted a job in Lexington last summer check out this link.
