Despite rain today, The Fall River Public Library on North Main Street is still holding its summer kick off activities until noon today. The event was supposed to be held on the lawn outside the building, but inclement weather had officials move it inside of the Police Athletic League building located across from the Belmont Club on Franklin Street a short distance away from the library. The event is free and open to the public and includes music by the Toe Jam Puppet Band, and the works of a balloon sculpture artist. Supervisor of Children’s Services Dave Mello also says, details of the summer reading program will also be revealed today.
