Fall River Public Library is open for limited access this summer, while still offering curbside pickup of library items, take-home crafts for kids, and online programs. Here’s what’s going on at the library this week.

Open by Appointment: Call ahead to schedule your library visit! Building occupancy is limited, but the library is open by appointment for people to browse new books and movies, use computers, and do research. In-person visits are available in half-hour blocks from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
What’s open: the children’s room, circulation/AV room, and reference room.
What’s closed: the stacks, meeting rooms, and study areas.

Passport Service Has Resumed: Passport forms are available in the reference room, and the library has resumed passport acceptance service. New passport processing hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Call 508-324-2700, ext. 3, or email frweb@sailsinc.org to schedule a passport appointment.

Computer Use, Faxing, Scanning, Copying, & Printing: All these services are available. You can schedule a library visit by calling adult circulation (ext. 2) or reference (ext. 3). Computers and printing are available in adult circulation, while computers, printing, copying, and faxing are available in reference. Charges apply for printing, faxing, and copying.

Take-Home Crafts: Crafts for kids are available for curbside pickup at both the Main Library and the South Branch. This week, kids can pick up a 3D turtle craft and undersea necklace at the Main Library and a water bottle firefly craft at the South Branch. To reserve a craft, call the Main Library at 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or the South Branch, 508-324-2708.

Museum Passes: Not all museums are open or honoring passes at this time. Those that are available now are the Buttonwood Park Zoo, Mass Parks, and New England Aquarium. Passes can be reserved online, or by calling 508-324-2700, ext. 2, and can be picked up at the door. For more information, call the library or visit our web site, fallriverlibrary.org.
